EMDR Therapy
As an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) certified therapist, I have the specialized training, skills, and knowledge to help you process and heal from traumatic experiences.
I will guide you through this proven therapeutic approach, ensuring the care you receive is grounded in the latest trauma-informed practices.
What is EMDR?
EMDR is a type of therapy designed to help people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. During EMDR sessions, you'll focus on specific memories or emotions while following a series of eye movements or other bilateral stimulation, like tapping or sounds. This process helps "rewire" how your brain stores the memory, reducing its emotional charge.
Many people find relief from symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other conditions after EMDR therapy since it allows the brain to naturally heal itself – similar to how the body recovers from physical wounds. It's a scientifically supported approach that is safe, effective, and often faster than traditional talk therapy.

Weekly or Every-Other-Week Sessions for 1 Hour
What to Expect During Weekly EMDR Sessions
Each EMDR session follows a structured process to help you heal from distressing memories:
Assessment. We identify specific memories or emotions you want to address.
Preparation. I explain the process and help you feel ready with relaxation techniques.
Desensitization & Reprocessing. You’ll focus on a memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping), allowing your brain to reprocess the memory and reduce its emotional impact.
Positive Belief Installation. We replace negative beliefs with more positive ones.
Body Scan. We check for and release any lingering physical tension.
Closure & Next Steps. Each session ends with grounding exercises and a plan for the next session.
This approach ensures you're moving through the healing process at a pace that feels right for you.

What is an EMDR Intensive?
An EMDR Intensive is a focused, extended therapy session designed to accelerate the healing process. Unlike traditional weekly sessions, EMDR intensives involve multiple hours of therapy over one or more days. This concentrated approach allows you to work through trauma or distressing memories more quickly, making it ideal for those seeking faster results or needing to address urgent issues.
EMDR intensives are tailored to your specific needs and can help resolve emotional difficulties in a shorter time frame, offering deep and lasting relief.

Negative Core Beliefs
A negative core belief is a deeply ingrained, often untrue, view of oneself, like "I am unworthy." It can shape your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Strengthening
Positive Self-Identity
Strengthening positive self-identity empowers you to embrace your true worth, align with your strengths, and confidently navigate life with a renewed sense of purpose and authenticity.
Developing Your
Adaptive Beliefs
An adaptive belief is a positive, realistic view of oneself, like "I am capable." It supports healthy thoughts, emotions, and actions.
