Affirmations

What is it to feel affirmed?  When you feel affirmed, positive things are being reinforced.  Have you ever made a decision and the confidence just wasn't as high as you hoped afterward then you start to see what some would call "signs" along the way.  Maybe a friend notices you're a little brighter and happier since making the decision - this is a sign or an affirmation showing that you can accept some more confidence around the choice you made.  Affirmations have this ability to lift us up and stand a little straighter, taller and walk with more of a confident swagger, if you will.  : )

 

Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts.  Sometimes we can affirm ourselves by stating what we know to be truth over and over so we can create the true narrative in our minds and overcome the narrative we've been taught to believe.  We continue to talk about how powerful our minds are and the desire to control our minds and where our minds take us as much as we can.  Affirmations is another way to do this.  Pick an affirmation below and write it down somewhere so you can see it, daily. 

 

  • I am enough.

  • I believe in myself and the wisdom I hold.

  • I love myself for who I am.

  • My life is filled with abundance of goodness.

  • My challenges are actually opportunities.

  • I am beautiful just the way I am.

  • The shame I feel does not control me.

  • I am not the mistakes I have made.

  • I am worthy of forgiveness and capable of change.

  • I am getting better and better every day.
