Hello! I’m Martha Higgins
(LCSW, CEC, CLC).
I am so glad you’re here.
As a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Life and Executive Coach in Oklahoma, Oregon and Utah, I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, motivation, self esteem, confidence, negative life experiences and overall life satisfaction.
I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Masters of Social Work in 2011 and have been licensed since 2013. I started working in the mental health field in 2008 and through a vast array of professional work experience in the mental health field I have been introduced to many individuals struggling to get out of the negative patterns where they feel stuck. My passion is helping people get to the rewarding parts of life. I believe there is space to uphold yourself and find satisfaction and joy.

Getting started is often the hardest step and I’m here to make it painless and stress-free.
My goal is to make sure you feel heard, understood, and cared for from the first phone call or email.

Begin your journey.
Get feedback and a plan in your first 1-3 sessions where we establish a path toward reaching your therapeutic or coaching goals and openly explore the issues that brought you to services. (This is the part where clients say “I am so glad I did this.”)

The 3 services I offer…
EMDR
EMDR is a type of therapy designed to help people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. During EMDR sessions, you'll focus on specific memories or emotions while following a series of eye movements or other bilateral stimulation, like tapping or sounds. This process helps "reprocess" how your brain stores the memory, reducing its emotional charge.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness therapy helps people pay attention to their thoughts, feelings, and body sensations in the present moment, without judging or reacting to them. It teaches you to be more aware of what's happening inside and around you, so you can better handle stress, anxiety, or difficult emotions. By staying focused on the present, it helps you feel calmer, more in control, and able to make better choices.
IFS
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of therapy that views a person’s mind like a family, made up of different "parts," or voices, each with its own feelings and roles. Some parts may protect you, while others carry hurt or difficult emotions. IFS helps you understand and heal these parts by connecting with your true self—the calm, wise part of you—so all the parts can work together in a balanced, peaceful way.
